The Goodness of Plein Air Painting
I get it, I understand now why Monet spent much of his time painting plein air. What a lovely endeavor. Today to finish our time at Camp heful and in honor of the Master Monet, we painted plein air at my Community Garden. It was a glorious day
As you can see, we had to be creative and use what was available, the kids sat on the ground or made make shift tables from buckets and sat atop cardboard chairs. It was such a treat, the sunshine and chatter of the birds, the bustle of the bus going by and community members stopping in to weed, water, and connect with us. Here is a glimps into our time together today, it was a wonderful way to end our time at camp this week.
If you are interested in an art camp for your kiddos, I do still have some spots left at Winged Things, Sewing and String. During this whimsical camp, kids will be creating things with wings! Think birds, bugs, butterflies perhaps even dragons! Campers will design and bring to life their own winged creations.
