You know some friendships are just God ordained. You meet and you just can’t stop talking. With every new topic you have in common, you keep thinking she is wonderful and I want her to be my friend. I hope you know what I am talking about because it is amazing to have such a bosom buddy.

I have a friend, who is really more like my older sister. I always longed for an older sister and the Lord brought just the right soul to my life, Laura. Now she is the kind of friend who, treats me to a hair cut, paints the trim in my house while- I’m napping (seriously), and makes dinner for my family when she stays. She prays for me and my husband and does countless other generous things for me.

Well during a recent visit, we spent a day doing our favorite things and then finished the perfect day by painting, only we did it on the same canvas! I have to say this was a gift beyond words, one of the best birthday gifts of my life! Here was the results of our time with paint brushes in hand. We both love an artist, who paints nothing but flowers, Bobbi Burgers, so thank you for the inspiration Bobbi!

And thanks Laura for being my bestie! Even if we are apart most of the time just know that my life is much lovelier with you in it.
